The Recorder's division chronicles, notices and preserves all property transactions which affect title to property located in Plumas County.  Records are indexed for easy accessibility to title companies and the general public.  Vital statistic records such as marriage licenses, birth and death certificates and military records are recorded for preservation.  It is the responsibility of the Recorder to preserve for future generations all land records and history of land exchange and the preservation of all recorded documents since 1854.
