The Plumas County Code Enforcement Department investigates allegations of violations of:
The function includes violations of land use, site and structural regulations and signs. It also includes non-compliance of permit conditions where no formal monitoring program is in place. County codes, State Health and Safety codes and State codes on building, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and fire codes are enforced and any noticed violations referred to the responsible agency. Potential violations come to the attention of Code Enforcement through the public, community groups, other agencies and Board of Supervisors referrals. Code Enforcement is currently a complaint-driven process with the sole purpose of maintaining established norms and standards for our Community.
