Telephone Emergency Notification System
Plumas County has replaced their outdated emergency notification system. The new system, called Deltalert, is a secure web based system used to notify citizens of emergency situations that may impact our local area. Such notifications may be made in order to alert you of criminal activity, missing children, shelter-in-place orders, evacuations, or other public safety information. These alerts can be delivered by telephonic voice notification to a home phone, cell phone or by e-mail.
All home phones are automatically in the emergency notification database. However, cell phones are not in our system. To ensure that you receive alert notifications on your cell phone, click on the Deltalert icon below to register your phone. When you register, make sure you add your physical address or selecting it on the map. Periodically, log on to the system and make sure all your information is still correct.
The contact information you provide will only be used by the Plumas County Sheriff’s Department for emergency or mass notification purposes. Your information will be stored securely and will remain private.
When an emergency message is initiated, the system will immediately identify the call as an emergency message when the caller answers. Please do not hang up. Listen to the message. It may save your life or the life of someone you know!
