Statement of Departmental Function The Plumas County Department of Information Technology is responsible for all information services, and technical operations in support of those services, for all County departments. The Information Technology department was established in the early 1970's to assist the County Auditor/Controller with the conversion of accounting procedures to electronic computer equipment. The Information Technology department today operates the County Data Center, located in the courthouse, as well as providing both system development, and support service for all levels of computing systems throughout all County offices.
