Food Facility Inspections Welcome to the Plumas County Environmental Health Food Facility Inspection web page. Beginning January 2008, as food facility inspection reports are completed, they will be available online for viewing. Food facilities on this web page are sorted geographically by areas and alphabetically by facility name. The focus of food facility inspections is the prevention of food borne illnesses. All routine inspections are unannounced and include observations for proper food temperatures, food handling and storage, worker hygiene, facility sanitation and maintenance and general knowledge of food safety. Inspection reports identify both major and minor violations. For additional help interpreting inspection reports, please refer to the Understanding the Inspections Form section. All facilities are inspected by Environmental Health Specialists for compliance with the new California Retail Food Code (Cal Code) which went into effect July 2007. |
